Terms of Service
This page provides the public terms governing use of AssistantBud across the web app and mobile app shell.
Last updated: March 1, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of AssistantBud, including the AssistantBud website, web application, and Capacitor-based mobile app shell (together, the "Service"). By using AssistantBud, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Introduction / Agreement to Terms
AssistantBud is operated by us under the AssistantBud name. These Terms form a binding legal agreement between you and AssistantBud.
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you confirm that:
- you have read and understood these Terms;
- you are legally able to enter into this agreement; and
- you are at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required to consent to online services in your country, whichever is higher.
If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
2. Description of Service
AssistantBud is a productivity and planning platform. Depending on the features you use, the Service may let you:
- create and manage tasks, planner items, goals, habits, recurring items, notes, places, and events;
- connect optional third-party integrations such as Google Calendar and Outlook calendar;
- save and organize places and map-based content using Google Maps Platform services;
- create workspaces and collaborate with other users; and
- share content with other users through live sharing or copy-based sharing flows.
The Service includes user-generated content and collaborative features. Features may change over time, and we do not guarantee that any feature or integration will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.
3. User Accounts
To use many parts of AssistantBud, you must create an account.
You are responsible for:
- providing accurate and current account information;
- maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials;
- all activity that occurs under your account; and
- notifying us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
You may not share your account credentials with others. Unless we agree otherwise, you may maintain only one personal account.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create risk for the Service or other users, or are required to be limited by law.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use AssistantBud to:
- violate any law or regulation;
- harass, threaten, abuse, stalk, or harm others;
- upload, transmit, or store malware, viruses, or other harmful code;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or network;
- scrape, crawl, reverse engineer, probe, or abuse the Service through automated means in a way that disrupts or burdens the Service;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organisation;
- interfere with, disable, or disrupt the Service or its security features; or
- use the Service to store, share, or distribute unlawful, infringing, or otherwise harmful content.
We may remove or restrict access to User Content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
We may investigate misuse and take appropriate action, including removing content, restricting access, suspending accounts, or reporting unlawful activity to relevant authorities.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of the content you create, upload, or store in AssistantBud, including tasks, notes, habits, events, places, workspace content, comments, and other material you submit ("User Content").
You grant AssistantBud a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt, display, and transmit User Content solely as needed to:
- operate and provide the Service;
- display and sync your content across supported devices and views;
- enable sharing and workspace collaboration features you choose to use;
- support optional integrations you connect; and
- maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
You are solely responsible for your User Content and for ensuring that you have the rights necessary to store, share, or otherwise use it through the Service.
We do not claim ownership of your User Content, and we are not responsible for User Content created by you or other users.
6. Intellectual Property
Except for User Content, the Service, including its software, design, branding, logos, and underlying technology, is owned by AssistantBud or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from any part of the Service except as permitted by law.
7. Sharing & Workspaces
AssistantBud includes sharing and collaboration features. When you use them:
- content you choose to share may become visible to the specific users you invite;
- live-shared content may remain visible to invited users until access is revoked or the underlying content is deleted;
- copy-shared content may be duplicated into another user's account; and
- copies already created in another user's account may remain there even if you later revoke access or delete your own account.
Workspace content may be visible to workspace members based on the workspace's permissions and collaboration model.
You are responsible for what you share, who you share it with, and any consequences of collaboration or sharing decisions. We are not responsible for disputes between users, workspace members, or recipients of shared content.
8. Third-Party Integrations
AssistantBud may interoperate with third-party services, including:
- Google Calendar;
- Outlook / Microsoft calendar services; and
- Google Maps Platform and Places services.
Your use of those services may be subject to the third party's own terms, privacy policies, and technical limits. AssistantBud is not responsible for third-party services, content, availability, policy changes, outages, or data handling outside our control.
Third-party integrations are optional. They may change, break, or be discontinued at any time, including due to changes imposed by the third-party provider.
9. Data & Privacy
Our [Privacy Policy](/privacy) explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information.
By using AssistantBud, you acknowledge that:
- your data may be stored and processed using Supabase and other cloud infrastructure used to operate the Service;
- we use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data; and
- no system can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure.
10. Account Deletion
You can delete your account inside AssistantBud by going to Settings -> Danger Zone -> Delete account.
When you delete your account, AssistantBud is intended to permanently delete the account data we control that is associated with your account, including your personal planner data, notes, habits, events, places, sharing records, workspace memberships, connected calendar data, and related settings, subject to limited retention permitted or required by law, security needs, abuse prevention, dispute resolution, or backup recovery windows.
If you own a workspace, deleting your account may also delete that workspace and workspace data associated with it.
Important limitation:
- if content has already been copy-shared into another user's account, that copied content may remain in the recipient's account after your deletion.
11. Service Availability
AssistantBud is provided on an evolving basis. We do not guarantee that the Service, or any part of it, will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
We may:
- add, remove, or modify features;
- change technical limits;
- suspend or discontinue parts of the Service; and
- offer certain features as beta, preview, or experimental functionality.
Beta or experimental features may be incomplete, unstable, or changed without notice.
12. No Professional Advice
AssistantBud is a productivity and planning tool. It does not provide legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice. You are responsible for how you use information stored in or generated through the Service.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AssistantBud is provided "as is" and "as available."
We disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, satisfactory quality, non-infringement, and quiet enjoyment.
We do not warrant that:
- the Service will meet your requirements;
- the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free;
- any data will always be accurate, complete, or preserved without loss; or
- defects will always be corrected.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AssistantBud and its operators, affiliates, service providers, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, goodwill, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of:
- GBP 100; or
- the total amount you paid us, if any, for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Because AssistantBud does not currently charge subscription or usage fees, this cap will usually be GBP 100.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AssistantBud and its operators, affiliates, service providers, and licensors from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:
- your use of the Service;
- your User Content;
- your violation of these Terms; or
- your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
16. Termination
You may stop using AssistantBud at any time and may delete your account through the Service where available.
We may suspend or terminate your access to all or part of the Service, or remove content, if we reasonably believe that:
- you have violated these Terms;
- your use creates risk, harm, or legal exposure for AssistantBud, other users, or third parties; or
- we are required to do so by law or by a valid legal request.
Termination does not limit any rights or remedies that arose before termination.
17. Governing Law
These Terms and any non-contractual disputes or claims arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
You and AssistantBud agree that the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
If you continue to use AssistantBud after updated Terms become effective, you agree to the revised Terms.
